Callisons has opened its first international facility in Suzhou, China. In a continued effort to expand its reach, the Suzhou facility will be a full-service operation, including sales & marketing, R&D/Flavor Development and production divisions. Callisons Suzhou will help the company establish itself further within the Asian market.
Jim Burgett, a fourth generation family member and the Callisons Flavor Company’s current President, said “We’re excited about the opportunity for Callisons in China and the opening of our offices in Suzhou is a very important first step. Our historical business platform focused on mint flavors and ingredients is a natural entry point for us, and in time we will add fruit, herbal, dairy and savory products to our portfolio. The China market will be an exciting challenge for us and we will have to earn our place within the mature and sophisticated flavor marketplace”
